The fishing fly with a royal connection
In 1982 Douglas Forbes of Flymakers in Aberdeen
was asked to design and tie a fishing fly pattern
exclusive to Balmoral Castle in Royal Deeside Scotland
We called it the Balmoral Highlander
In 2014 Flymakers reworked the fly pattern
In 2014 Flymakers reworked the fly pattern
and with the tying of Mike Townend
produced this Artistic Classic Masterpiece
